If you watched the BETAwards this week, you’ve already celebrated African American Music Appreciation Month declared by President Jimmy Carter in 1979 and later by President Obama.

I had the pleasure of attending several activities, and I was happy to learn that there are quite a few that celebrate in style, too. From Actor Christian Reyes, to the legends of music labels and executives who mold everyone who become famous in the industry.

Another interesting and beneficial red carpet event I had the pleasure to attend was the Private Pre-BETAwards event for “Young Hollywood.”

Below are some image highlights of me and friends on the red carpet at the Geisha House,6633 Hollywood Blvd,Hollywood, CA. “Young Hollywood” benefited Grammy Nominated Artist Akon’s “Konfidence” Foundation. In a nutshell the event honored young celebrities and benefited youth in need. The dress was African inspired Attire.

FRAY Movie Premiere shot on the red carpet of cast and crew

Fray movie premiere night at Chinese Theatre, Hollywood, CA (L-R) Nicole Koval, Bryan Kaplan, Jarin Blaschke,  guest and Junior Wright.

I had the pleasure of attending Dancing with Films Festival at the Chinese Theater this week, and wow, I thought I had seen them all. This one is unusual, because they give film makers scripts and four hours to shoot and edit the film. Amazing, because the film debuts and is screen the next day at this Festival now running 15 years. The big sponsor and support is Canon, a leader in filmmaking cameras and lenses. I have shots with the stars, the director and screen writer on the red carpet at the premiere of Fray.   Junior Wright Singer Songwriter attends Dancing with Films Festival – FRAY Premiere FRAY is a true-to-life drama of a US Marine’s new struggles when he returns home from war. The award-winning feature movie stars Bryan Kaplan,  Marisa Costa and  Catherine Johnson.

It is a riveting drama, and has some interesting shooting and editing techniques that really got my attention.
It is a movie worth seeing, and has worn numerous awards.
Directed by Geoff Ryan, who received “Best Narrative Feature” award at the 2012 Arizona film Festival for his first feature film.

Just when you thought things would slowed a pace in Burbank, where The Disney Company and other entertainment businesses are exploding with new construction, creating more jobs, Burbank just added another studio on the other side of town.
“We have a photo video company, which is mine, we have a talent agency, a marketing company and music producers all in one place,” said Gor Gevorkyan, CEO & Owner, of The Royal Gor Studios, 1631 Maria Street, Burbank CA 91504. “Our studios can be used for movies, commercials, infomercials, educational videos, screening videos, 3-D, chroma key, you name it we can do it here.”
The Royal Gor Studios is also large enough to accommodate red carpet events and celebrations. On Gevorkyan’s grand opening and first class party attracted 300-400 registered  guests and professionals in film, TV, music, theater, fashion, production, commercial, models, actors, photographers, videographers, media, special events industry, and hospitality industry. It was a great Hollywood networking event for producers, actors, directors, singers and songwriters, who  packed the facility with more room to move on the dance floor. The drinks and food was free and no cover charge for the live DJm music and some guest rappers such as El Debarge Jr., who performed live on stage.
Another Singer, Songwriter Junior Wright, who just release his debut album, “Come to Me”, said he was pleasantly surprised to see how huge the studios were, and even got his photo snapped with Model Diamond McClain and other Singers and models.

Most new business owners are hesitant to expand business during this slow economic recovery, but Georkyan is optimistic about the future. “We’re not most people, and we don’t worry about the economy. As long as you you have a positive attitude, and a positive mind you can succeed in any economy,” he said.
Burbank also is home to Warner Bros Studios, Walt Disney Company, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon Studios, Bob Hop Airport and NBC’s Studios, including The Tonight Show. The event was put on by The World Networks, The Notice Network and The KAM Group. The Royal Gor Studios became a member of the World Networks, an exclusive professional business network
One of the key sponsors, Lousine Karibian, CEO, The World Networks at the Royal is also optimistic about the economy. “We’re thrilled to be here and announced The Royal Gor Studios as our newest member to our exclusive professional business network designed to market members to their potential clients, and through monthly events.”
